Stare Them in the EyesHe loved his job. In his profession he was God. He could save lives and mess with a simple stroke of the hand.
But for all the lives he saved. For all the ways he had managed to change. For all the good he had committed. He hated this aspect.
He hated looking people in the eyes and tell them that didn't have a chance in hell of surviving. That his charge was about to die. To listen to all the pain. To see the fear of losing life.

Life and DeathLife; used as a noun. Plural form is lives. Dictionary defines it as the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body. Comes from the Proto-Indo-European word lip; to remain, persevere, and continue.
That is the basic principle of life. Our life. The beauty of it all is that every moment is fleeting. Time only moves forward. Moments pass by in a continues pattern.
Every few minutes a life is brought to the world of beauty and horror. Every few minutes a child is birthed into a hospital. Every few minutes a child is born in the homes. Every few minutes a child is born on the street.

The Organized Chaotic MnHe called himself Mr. Anderson. Not a soul knew his first name, or if the title he had given himself was real. I liked to believe that he never knew it either. Maybe his first name was lost in the world and he had called himself Mr. Anderson too long.
